Call for Papers

Note: Papers that have already been accepted or are currently under review for other conferences or journals will not be considered for publications at ICAIAR 2025. Authors are invited to submit papers in English using the paper format indicated below.

Paper Categories

Each submitted paper will have to be associated with one of the four following categories:

  • Technical solution papers - Research papers presenting novel technical solutions
  • Evaluation papers - Papers focusing on evaluation of existing approaches
  • Industrial practice and experience papers - Papers describing real-world applications and case studies
  • Doctoral Papers - Research papers from doctoral students

Submission Guidelines

By submitting a paper, authors implicitly agree that at least one of them will register to the conference and present the paper. All papers will be reviewed by the ICAIAR 2025 Program Committee based on originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity of exposition.

"Blind" paper evaluation will be used, therefore authors are kindly requested to produce and provide the full paper, without any reference to the authors.

The manuscript must contain, in its first page, the paper title, the paper category (Technical solution, Evaluation, Industrial or Doctoral), an abstract and a list of keywords but no names or contact details are to be included in any part of the file.

Additional paper preparation requirements:

  • Papers must be written in English
  • Paper submissions should be limited to a maximum of 8 pages in the 2-column format
  • Use IEEE conference template for formatting your paper
  • Submit your paper in PDF format
  • All figures and tables should be clear and legible
  • References should follow IEEE citation style

Paper Format

Paper Structure

All papers should be structured as follows:

  1. Title: Clear and concise title reflecting the content
  2. Abstract: Maximum 250 words summarizing the paper
  3. Keywords: 4-6 keywords representing the main topics
  4. Introduction: Background, motivation, and objectives
  5. Related Work: Literature review and state-of-the-art
  6. Methodology: Detailed description of the proposed approach
  7. Results and Discussion: Analysis and interpretation of findings
  8. Conclusion: Summary of contributions and future work
  9. References: Following IEEE citation style

Please use the IEEE conference template for formatting your paper. The template is available in Word formats.

  • Use Times New Roman font, 10pt size
  • Double-column format with 0.5" column spacing
  • 1" margins on all sides
  • Number all pages consecutively
  • Use high-resolution images (300 dpi minimum)

Review Process

Initial Screening

All submitted papers will undergo an initial screening to check for plagiarism, formatting compliance, and relevance to the conference themes. Papers that do not meet these basic requirements will be rejected without further review.

Peer Review

Each paper that passes the initial screening will be assigned to at least three reviewers with expertise in the relevant field. The review process is double-blind, meaning that the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed from each other.

Evaluation Criteria

Reviewers will evaluate papers based on the following criteria:

  • Originality: Novel contribution to the field
  • Technical Soundness: Validity of methods and results
  • Significance: Importance and impact of the work
  • Clarity: Quality of writing and organization
  • Relevance: Alignment with conference themes

Decision

Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Program Committee will make one of the following decisions:

  • Accept: Paper is accepted as submitted
  • Minor Revisions: Paper requires minor changes before acceptance
  • Major Revisions: Paper requires significant changes and will undergo another round of review
  • Reject: Paper is not suitable for the conference

Final Submission

Authors of accepted papers will be required to submit a camera-ready version that addresses all reviewer comments. At least one author must register for the conference and present the paper.

The final decision of inclusion in the Scopus indexed proceedings/Journal will be made by the Editorial Board.
